With its postmodern meets

classical style, this mixed-use

development in Doha comprises

residential, retail and F&B

elements. The U-shape was

chosen as the most appropriate

solution for the site, given the

need for views across the main

street. The client also required

efficient layouts and a variety of

different apartment types.

Materials include stone cladding

and louvers, and the design

language takes cues from the

surrounding buildings. With a

balanced composition of solid

and transparent elements,

elevations feature large

openings to allow plentiful

natural light into the apartments.

The ground and first-floor units

contain shops while the second

level features a food court and

an open terrace. The complex

contains three different areas for

vertical circulation – one for the

retail section and two for the

apartments – with separate
